Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

What is DFS?
This problem occurs because objects in the Active Directory directory service are configured incorrectly. Specifically, these objects do not reflect the correct path of the Staging and Conflict directory. See ME920335 for a hotfix applicable to Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
As per Microsoft: "DFS Replication cannot replicate files in the replicated folders listed above because the staging folder cannot be opened. These folders cannot be replicated because the service is unable to create staging files". See MSW2KDB for additional information about this event.
