What is a Windows Service Pack?
As per Microsoft: "Windows 2000 SP4 is programmed to remap the .htr extension from Ism.dll to Asp.dll for security reasons. This configuration change is performed during the post-SP4 installation phase. You can safely ignore this error message because Windows 2000 SP4 was installed successfully". See ME824391 and ME829427 for more details.
This event occured while installing the SP4 on a W2K server, an error message "... cannot remove scripts from IIS .." appeared and suggested that the server was not fully updated and should be restarted from the emergency repair disk.
From a newsgroup post: "You may need to reset permissions on the system32\dllcache folder. System
and administrator need full access."
