Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

What is the role of the MSDTC service?
This behavior occurs if you installed the MSDTC service as a non-clustered resource on a Windows 2000 Server-based cluster and if you installed the MS04-012 software update. See ME867520 to solve this problem.
When moving "MSDTC" resource in Cluster Administrator, the move fails and the cluster attempts to move the resource group back to the original node. This typically occurs when moving the MSDTC resource to a newly created cluster node. As the instructions in the Event log suggests, running "comclust.exe" and restarting the MSDTC service in Cluster Administrator will correct this problem. Also check ME305742 to see what Microsoft says about this event.
