Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
The virtual server <value> cannot boot. The C:\Inetpub\nntpfile\group.lst.bak file is corrupt.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
I copied “C:\Inetpub” to “C:\Inetpub.OLD” to save a copy of the IIS configuration. I uninstalled the IIS NNTP Server component only, from Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add/Remove Windows components. After this, I deleted the “C:\Inetpub\nntpfile” folder, and then I reinstalled the IIS NNTP Server component (this created the C:\Inetpub\nntpfile folder again). The error ceased to reappear after following these steps.
