Why are some errors “unexpected”?
What is the use of Active Server Pages?

If you use Outlook Web Access (OWA) to create a new appointment that contains double-byte character set (DBCS) characters in the Subject or Location field or in the appointment body, and then you repeatedly save changes to the appointment, an access violation may occur in the Inetinfo.exe file. See ME242341 for details.
OWA will crash because users have added MS Office 2003 or MS Outlook 2003 to their computer. See ME818709 for hotfix. I applied the fix to an OWA server, not the actual Exchange server (which resides on another server) and it worked well.
When Web Outlook is installed on the system, this event can be caused by the fact that insufficient memory is allocated to perform the operation on the Exchange Server computer.
This error has also been reported with "index.asp" as the file causing the error. There is no additional information about this.
For OWA and Exchange Server 5.5 see ME312434.
