What is iSCSI?
ME976072 provides a list of several reasons for which this event may be recorded (along with suggested fixes).
As per ME972107, there are several situations when this can occur (i.e. an iSCSI target device that is listed on the Favorite Targets tab of the iSCSI Initiator is no longer accessible). Depending on the situation, different troubleshooting steps can be taken. See the article for full details.
This event is logged when the initiator fails to create the network object for the initiator portal. This can typically happen if the network stack is not ready or has not assigned an IP address to the NIC that is being used when the initiator attempts to create the network object.
