Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

This is caused by the driver not automatically setting the Bus Type and Card Type for PCMCIA during the installation of Windows NT Workstation or Windows NT Server with a 3Com EtherLink III (3C589B) adapter. During Setup, it defaults to ISA Bus Type. See ME141715 to solve this problem.

According to Microsoft to work around this problem, shut down and restart Windows NT to re-initialize the network adapter driver with the device. If the problem persists, use another network adapter. See ME123816.
