Comments

- Error: "The remote procedure call failed." - See ME225206.
- Error: "Cannot perform this operation on built-in accounts" - See "JSI Tip 1156".
For NT 4.0 see also ME197985.

Error: "The parameter is incorrect". If you have installed the Norton Ghost software on a Windows 2000-based primary domain controller, see ME285796. See also the link to Error code 87.
Error: "The RPC server is unavailable" - This particular error was seen on the BDC during an unexpected reboot of the PDC. See also the link to Error code 1722.
We found this problem when a new BDC was added to a NT4 domain. The PDC would show many 5711 events, the BDC would show many 5732 errors.
Fix: I loaded the NDS for NT client, and choose to log on locally, bypassing the NDS logon. Replication was already completed. In short there seems to be a change in the netlogon.chg file when the NDS for NT client is installed causing the failure.
Error: "Cannot perform this operation on built-in accounts" - See ME161569 and the link to Error code 1371.

Error: "Cannot perform this operation on built-in accounts" - See ME199071 (for NT4) and the link to Error code 1371.
Error: "The network request is not supported." This event will also show on a Windows-NT based BDC in a Windows 2000 domain and that domain is running in Native mode (Ref ME240305). See also the link to Error code 50.
