Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
Netlogon could not register the <domain name><1B> name for the following reason: <reason>.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|

What is the role of the Netlogon share?
- Reason: "A duplicate name exists on the network" - From a newsgroup post: "Are you trying to add this server to the network? If so, it sounds like this server name is already in use. Open Server Manager and confirm this. If the server name you are trying to use is listed here, check to see if the icon beside the name is "grayed" out or not. If it is grayed out, that means the browser service could not contact this server and leaves you with more options. If it looks normal, are you certain another server does not already exist on the network with the name you are trying to use?"
