After the installation of Backup Exec 10d, the "Backup Exec Server" service does not start (actually starts and stops immediately).
Cause: Regional and Language Options
Solution: Set "Language settings for the system" to "English (United States)" and reinstall Backup Exec 10d. After a successful start of the service you can set the language settings back to the initial state.
