Event ID: 57920 Source: BackupExec

An error occurred while preparing Microsoft Exchange Server \\CORPEX01\Microsoft Exchange Directory to back up database Exchange DS Database. Error code: <error code> Error message: The Microsoft Exchange component specified is configured to use circular database logs. It cannot be backed up without a full backup.
- Error code: 0xC7FF000B - As per Microsoft: "To resolve this behavior, contact the Backup Exec vendor, Veritas, to obtain a fix. The fix that resolves the behavior is BNT7I725.EXE". See ME295751 for more details.
- Error code: 0xC8000230 - See "Veritas Support Document ID: 263514".

See the link to "Veritas Support Document ID: 251811" for additional information on this event.
Backupexec will not perform a differential backup if circular logging is enabled. This is because a differential backup does not reset the archive bit or commit the transaction log files. Circular logging is a nice idea but makes backups a pain. Most organizations disable circular logging.
WARNING: If you disable circular logging the transaction logs will continue to build up until the next normal backup (or you delete them). If you do not perform a normal backup regularly, the transaction logs will fill the partition and shut the server down. You must perform a normal backup in order to have the transaction action logs commited when using backupexec.
