Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
The description for event id (7) cannot be found. It contains the following insertion string: COM2.

What is causing the “The description for Event ID ( … ) in Source ( …. ) cannot be found… “?
From a newsgroup post: "I had problems trying to get my LTmodem to install in NT too. When I tried installing manually, via Modems in Control Panel, I could never get it to work. When I used the setup program that came with the drivers (on a CD), it worked almost every time. Once, I had to just delete all of my existing COM Ports prior to running Setup. Setup creates the necessary COM ports on its own".
Also it seems that disabling PNP from BIOS might help you to fix this problem.
