Application: Outlook.exe - From a discussion forum: "I've been having a similar problem where Outlook crashes sporadically. My problem seemed to be linked with the sound that plays when both reminders and email messages are received. Disabling these sounds seems to have fixed my problems."
I've come across this fix that works for me every time I have the error:
For details of all the switches for the Outlook.exe see EV100135
(Using Command lines).
My problem had to do with a COM Add-in that caused Word 2007 to hang at shutdown. It was the “Send to Bluetooth” add-in located at “C:\Windows\System32\btsendto_office.dll” that caused the issue. Disabling this add-in corrected the behavior.
- Application: Microsoft Office Outlook - From a newsgroup post: "Outlook 2007 froze whenever I had to reply to a Calendar reminder. I have tried repairing Outlook 2007, but that has apparently not helped. I had the Exchange 2003 System Manager installed on my computer along with Outlook 2007 and Windows Desktop Search (WDS) 3.01. I was told to run the fixmapi.exe program to try to fix the problem that I was having. This did not fix my problem. However, it did make me think about whether or not there might be a bigger problem with System Manager. I had already uninstalled WDS and hence Outlook was working fine. Then I decided to uninstall System Manager, reinstall WDS, and everything worked great".
- Application: Microsoft Office Groove - From a newsgroup post: "MS Project files were creating the problem. I was able to resolve it by deleting all *.mpp files in the Groove directories. Some of them seemed OK but others would cause Groove to shut down when trying to synchronize. I ended up just removing them all".
