Information Store (<PID>) Online defragmentation of database '<database>' was interrupted and terminated. The next time online defragmentation is started on this database, it will resume from the point of interruption.

From Microsoft: "This is a known issue with the WU v5 client. It has to do with how the client agent interacts with the Jet database engine. This is something we will consider fixing in a future version of the WU client. I am not aware of workarounds for this issue".
From a newsgroup post: "How big is the database? Check the Maintenance Schedule. You can do this by opening Exchange System Manager and navigating down to where the Store is listed. Right-click on the Store and choose Properties. Click on the Database tab and you will see the schedule for online maintenance. Try changing it or giving it a custom schedule with a longer time interval. Make sure that this time doesn't overlap with your backups that are running".

This could happen if the database is very large and the defragmentation time is taking more than one hour (as AD database is running on the same engine as Exchange). As per ME324358: “By default, online defragmentation runs for a minimum of 15 minutes and a maximum of 1 hour after the information store maintenance period.
