ME923028 could not be applied to our environment (Windows Server 2008). However, the ME946517 hotfix seems to have resolved the problem.
This message can be recorded with various error messages so the troubleshooting approach should be considered based on these errors.
Commonly reported 7076 error messages:
- Not enough storage is available to process this command. - See Error code 8 for a generic description of this type of error. Some users suggested that this can be fixed by using IISRESET utility while other posts indicate that it was fixed after applying the latest .Net Framerwork service packs and hotfixes
- Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. ME946517 may apply to this particular case.
- There was an error encrypting or decrypting credentials. Either a credential update is currently being performed, or you must update the farm account credentials on this server before you can perform this task. - One user reported that ME934838 helped in this situation.
- Exception from HRESULT: 0x80005006 - This may indicate that a file may be missing or the installation of somehow corrupted.
A newsgroup post suggests installing a Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 hotfix from Microsoft. See ME923028 for the hotfix.
