Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
Adapter Intel(R) PRO/100 Network Connection: Did not receive auto-negotiation advertisement from link partner. A full duplex connection may be available.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
This event appears because one link partner (NIC, switch port, router port, etc.) is set to a specific speed and duplex status (e.g. 100 Mbs Full Duplex) while the other link partner is set to auto-negotiate the link speed and duplex status. Set both link partners either to auto-negotiate the link or at the same speed and duplex status.
