"Trend Micro Support Solution ID: 16528" shows what configuration changes are needed on the Trend Micro Control Manager 2.5 server when moving an existing TMCM database to a new SQL server.
When you try to access via browser the http://server/ControlManager page, this error is displayed: "Trend Micro Control Manager ( TMCM ) displays the User Interface (UI) system message: Cannot send request to aphost ď. You can find explanation about this error at Trend Micro Knowledge Base Solution 13602  but this solution doesnít help, because the source of the problem here is that you need to tell the Control Manager product to use another password to access the MSQL database, because the password of "sa" has been changed. Anyway, I found the following article Trend Micro Knowledge Base Solution 15467; here Trend Micro describes where is stored the user that Control Manager uses to access the database, and the password encrypted, but they donít explain how to change any of this values.
