What is the role of the Browser service?
See MSW2KDB for information about this event.
In my case, this event appeared when I was using a dial-up connection, and had Zone Alarm running. I was using Zone Alarm when I had a DSL connection with no problems. However, when I was forced to use a dial-up connection, I experienced problems such as hanging Web Pages and spontaneous reboots when closing my browser. The waiting for data appeared to be a timeout caused by Zone Alarm blocking data needed for the browser to work properly. Successful uninstallation of Zone Alarm eliminated all problems associated with this event, and the event itself.
