Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
The Microsoft Client Service for NetWare redirector has timed out one or more requests to <Novell server name>.
|English: Request a translation of the event description in plain English.|
|Concepts to understand:|
What is a redirector?
From a newsgroup post: "This error is related to NT trying to negotiate a burst mode connection, and is well documented in the KB. To disable NT from attempting to make a burst mode connection to a Novell server add the following key:
Value: 0 (Hex or decimal, its the same)
Restart you machine and this will disable any burst mode connections.
From another newsgroup post: "This can be down to bad NICs/drivers. It could also be the NW servers maxing out - maybe check packet receive Buffers and service processes".
