The processing of the recurring appointment with the subject "<appointment subject> " in mailbox:<mailbox name> failed with error code <error code>. This appointment will not be visible in the web client or other non-MAPI client.

For errors description, see the Windows NT/2000 Error Codes link below.
I get this error with a 0xfffffbfe error code. The only error code I can find with this value is: JET_errRecordTooBig. Moreover, the user for which I get this error uses his calendar in a very special way. He created months ago a daily recurring meeting and each day after the meeting, he deleted the daily occurrences. I guess that each time he does so the original meeting is appended with some additional information (the daily occurrence was deleted). Obviously, the field to store these occurrence specific changes is size-limited and after so many changes the error occurs.
See ME902152 for a hotfix applicable to Microsoft Exchange 2000.
- Error: 0x8000ffff - This problem occurs because of an unsuccessful Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) conversion in the Exchange Server Imail component, and occurs when the appointment to be converted has a blank e-mail address. See ME821293 for a hotfix applicable to Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server.
This like the error 8206 are due to Norton Anti-Virus when it runs a system scan on drive "M" (the exchange share). To fix go into the Anti-Virus Console and edit the scan to NOT scan drive M. This is for the Norton File Server version of Corporate edition. Use the MS Exchange Virus protection Version ONLY to scan the "M" drive.
As per ME327864, "This problem is caused by the error CDO_E_BAD_ATTENDEE_DATA, which is Error code 0x80040235".
