Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.
The service can't work properly because the Policy '<name>' has an invalid Filter Rule (purportedSearch). Use the Exchange System Management tool to correct this problem. While this error exist new users, contacts and groups won't receive mail information necessary to them to work properly.<service name>.

The recipient policy was based on a custom LDAP query that had a syntax error. Fixing the LDAP query resolved the problem.
As per Microsoft: "The service cannot work properly because the Policy specified in the event has an invalid Filter Rule. While this error exists, new users, contacts and groups will not receive mail information". See MSEX2K3DB for more information.
