Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. The EventId.Net for Splunk Add-on assumes that Splunk is collecting information from Windows servers and workstation via the Splunk Universal Forwarder.

We got this event on the source Exchange 2003 Server, followed shortly by event 9555 on the same server, while moving a mailbox from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010. Exchange 2010 apparently attempts to read the item multiple times before flagging it as corrupt, because these events occurred more than once for the same item.
After a few minutes, the move request on Exchange 2010 flagged the item corrupt and continued on with the mailbox move.
This behavior can occur if the antivirus software that is installed on the computer is scanning the database while the move mailbox operation is being attempted. See ME296965 for details on this issue.
This problem may occur if the mailbox that Exchange 2000 is trying to move contains a damaged message. See ME318726 to solve this problem.
MSEX2KDB provides additional information about this event.
