In most cases, these messages are being posted due to hardware problems with either the controller or, more likely, a device that is attached to the controller in question. The hardware problems can be associated with poor cabling, incorrect termination or transfer rate settings, lazy or slow device responses to relinquish the SCSI bus or a faulty device. This is an error caused by the JMicron Raid Controller Driver. System hangs for a few seconds (frozen) but gets back again. Should be fixed with 1.17.43 but it's obviously not. Some guys recommend to replace the SATA cables. Other guys said it was caused by the HDDs itself. One guy said it was caused by Maxtor drives. After replacing the drives with Samsungs the error was gone.
