What is the role of the Exchange MTA Service?
Let me add to the suggestion of Sarvesh Huddedar. In Exchange 2003 (but not in Exchange 2000) MTA Stacks service can indeed be disabled. See Microsoft article ME810489 for when and how to do this.
If you do not use MTA, stop and disable the Exchange MTA service. You should not see this warning again.
See MSEX2K3DB for information about this event.
As per Microsoft: "This warning message does not reflect any problems with Microsoft Exchange Server. Look at other warnings and/or errors associated with this warning for more troubleshooting information". See ME165017 for more details.
The MTA configuration is invalid. Reconfigure the transport configuration type in the identified directory entry. Verify that the particular object(s) in question have X.400 addresses or that the address space is correct. Run an "mtacheck /rd /rp".
