Build a great reporting interface using Splunk, one of the leaders in the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) field, linking the collected Windows events to www.eventid.net. As per Microsoft: "This event indicates that a file system error occurred when Exchange Server tried to open the restore environment file. For example, this event may be generated when a file is trying to perform a write operation as part of the restore process". Process: mssearch, Error: 53. From a newsgroup post: "This occured when trying using msdmback /r e:\spdump.bak. Sometimes when the backup file is in the root of a drive it does not work properly. I would try copying it to a folder and trying again."
