Event ID: 9997 Source: MSExchangeMTA

The description for Event ID ( 9997 ) in Source ( MSExchangeMTA ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: File: ''G:\MTA\src\emsmta\sysglue\sbmifwnt.c'', line: 1720, MTAtid: 3, NTtid: 2436, GetDiskFreeSpace() Returned Error: 170(0x000000aa).
From a newsgroup post: "The NT User Account that the MTA is using doesn't have the necessary permissions on the root of the volume containing the MTADATA directory. Give that account read/write permission in the ACL on the root of the volume. The Exchange service account needs full control there to determine the amount of free space remaining on the disk."
Looks like the Message Transfer Agent cannot obtain the free space for a volume using GetDiskFreeSpace() because the resource is in use. Well, the hard drive maybe in use because of a chkdsk /f operation or other major disk management activities or problems.
