STI stands "Still Image Architecture" and it provides a low-level interface for doing basic transfers of data to and from a device such as a scanner. STI BrtSTI would be the Brother implementation of the STI.

This event can be recorded with various error descriptions. Examples:
- STI BrtSTI: [2010/02/26 17:18:49.081]: [00002572]: SendSKeySettingToDevice:: Snmp Load Error[-1] To[192.168.16.202]
- STI BrtSTI: [2010/12/08 06:36:56.531]: [00007844]: GetDeviceIpAddress: GetAddressByName [BRN001BA94E3873] Error

They all contain the network function that generated the error. For example, GetDeviceIPAddress is a class of DNS-related programming functions. The error indicates that a DNS name resolution was attempted (GetAddressByName = obtain the IP address of a host name) for host BRN001BA94E3873 but the resolution failed.

For the "SendSKeySettingToDevice:: Snmp Load Error[-1]" error, one user fixed this problem by removing the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Brother\BrUtilities registry key.
