| Comments: Anonymous In my case, this issue was caused by overheating. The event log may also show event ID 37 "The speed of processor 0 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 71 seconds since the last report." The solution was to install better CPU fans. I brought 3 of these as refurb/recert systems and encounter this error on a regular basis on all of them.
