We got this on a 2012R2 migrated from Hyper-V Host to VMware.
Apparently the Hyper-V VSS Provider didn't get removed from VSS in registry and thus was triggered at every backup.
It stuck around under HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VSS\ProvidersFind the Subkey referring to 'Hyper-V IC Software Shadow Copy Provider' and remove it (should be {74600e39-7dc5-4567-a03b-f091d6c7b092}).
Before deleting - make sure you have backed up your registry and are able to restore the deleted key ... just in case ,)
