As per Microsoft, this issue occurs because of a configuration issue in any one of the following areas:
- Name resolution
- Security settings
- User rights
- Group membership for Microsoft Windows 2000 or Microsoft Windows Server 2003
To identify the cause of the issue, you must troubleshoot the trust configuration. See M889030 for details troubleshooting the trust configuration.
This issue may occur if the Windows 2000 or Windows 2003 domain controller has a local computer policy that is configured to require secure channel communications. Windows NT does not support digitally-signed or encrypted secure channel communications. Therefore, this policy is not valid in your mixed environment. See M329870 for more details on this issue.
